I’m in Damascus, VA to enjoy Appalachian Trail Days. The Festival was canceled last year cause of pandemic. Was great to be back among so many trail enthusiasts. After walking around a couple of hours taking in the sights and talking with folks I decided to get in a bike ride. I wanted to see the new underpass on the Virginia Creep Trail. Last time I was here you had to scoot across a busy road now you bike under it – pretty neat. The town was really crowded with folks attending the Festival and this being a Saturday there were lots of folks out for a bike ride. When I got back to my van it was time for the four hour drive back home to Columbia, SC.
