I was living in Synanon in San Diego, CA in 1970 when a group of us decided to hike to top of 10,834-foot Mount San Jacinto which is near Palm Springs, CA. On June 20 a dozen of us left San Diego at 6 am. We started our climb at 9 am and five us made it to the summit at 3 pm. That’s Bob, Bryan, and Carol in the photo with me (I’m on the right with no shirt) at the top of the mountain. We got back to our car at 7 pm and San Diego at 9:30 pm. Long but fun day.
